YUBI Restaurant mural

Created in collaboration with Maria Group Architects and illustrator Raya Khalaf, this site-specific mural brings Raya’s deconstructed algae illustration to life across nearly 1,000 ceramic tiles. Each tile was hand-cut, glazed, and painted, carrying the subtle irregularities and traces of the handmade process.

Installed at Yubi, Dubai’s first homegrown Japanese hand roll bar by Chef Reifo Kee and Seven Management, the work embodies a spirit of craft, collaboration, and the beauty of the handmade.
